Prototype Launch & What this is all About!
Welcome and thank you for checking out our project!
This interactive comic book prototype is the joint effort of comic artist and animator Jennifer Reuter and game developer Rohan Malone. The bulk of the work on this project took place over a three day period in October of 2018, the goal was to develop a proof of concept and see what we could come up with somewhere between our disciplines, an interactive, or at least reactive comic book of sorts.
What we came up with is an excerpt from a larger narrative, presented in a form that resembles a digital comic and is reactive to the readers input.
Even with the relatively short development period, what we completed has given us a very solid idea of what is achievable and what we might be able to add or improve upon with the concept.
Currently the future of the project is undecided, while there are no solid plans to continue with the project at this stage, there is potential we may develop the narrative further and move on to a full volume of a comic with more interactive elements, otherwise we may end up working on the tools that have been developed, improving their usability and release them for other comic writers to use.
We have a number of ideas on what we could add or improve upon, but at this point we would just like to get it out there and have you wonderful people have a look at what we've made.
We invite you to download the project and give us feedback on what you like about it, what you don't like about it, any major issues or bugs and what you would potentially like to see from the project in the future.
Thanks!
Rohan and Jennifer.
